Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Michigan
has ordered for an undisclosed number of copies
of The Ice Cream Maker for
distributing amongst its invitees in the Hall
of Fame Inductee Ceremony.
The organization inducts the ‘Industry Leader
of the Year' in its Hall of Fame every year.
It is the single greatest honor in the motor
vehicle industry, intended to honor a career
and/or lifetime achievement. To become a "Hall
of Fame" the nominee must be either retired
or deceased. Recipients must have significantly
impacted the development of the automobile
or the motor vehicle industry. Typically,
four to eight individuals are inducted each
year.
The organization also honors four individuals each year for ‘Young Leadership
and Excellence' award. This recognition reflects
the Automotive Hall of Fame's commitment to
the future by identifying the next generation
of leadership in the industry. To be eligible,
nominees must be 35 years of age or younger.

Copies of The Ice Cream Maker will be given to the guests
in the Crain's Detroit Business' '40 under
40' Award Ceremony on October 18, 2005. This
year's selection marks the 15th year of the
ceremony, which awards 40 people who have
had business successes before age 40. The
Class of 2005 has members who have started
successful companies, have found success at
a young age at established companies or who
have taken nonprofits and made them stronger.
More than 250 people were nominated for this
year's class. Crain's Detroit Business staff
judges based selections on information provided
by candidates and the research of the judged
on it. Professional achievement is the most
important qualification.
